Junior Rugby League

While the Colts aim to provide up to date information at all times please refer to Play NSW Rugby League and Hunter Junior Rugby League Website at all times.

Registrations

All registrations are placed through My Side Line at Play Rugby League from the 1st December 2024 formally closing 30th June 2025.

You can download the App on your phone. This is where you will see you children’s games listed and can manage your child’s profile.

With every registration each child receives:

x1 set of playing socks, x1 pair of training shorts and shirt, x1 set of playing shorts.

The coaches are given the teams game jersey’s to wear and these are to be returned at the end of the season.

Once your child is registered, they will be allocated a team to play in. Teams can change even after the season has started as registrations still remain open once the season has started. The earlier that registrations are completed allows for teams to be formed and gives the club the ability to start structuring teams. Team changes can occur whilst establishing teams, to allow the club the opportunity provide best possible outcomes to all registered players whilst meeting regulation requirements. Pending age group size, and the requirements of the competition (HJRL and NSWRL), an age group may be graded due to the grading of that particular competition. Grading is carried out by the coaching panel in consultation with coaches if further information is needed. No season is without their challenges, but the Colts ultimate goal is to allow every player the chance to play Rugby League.

Age related Information

While the on field policy states lower ratios for first aid for each game the Colts strongly suggest each team has qualified Coaches, Managers, League First Aid and Level 1 or 2 Sports Trainer. If your child’s team does not have a representative for these required roles it means that their games may not be able to proceeds and the children miss out.

Please see age related information for a guide to parents below. Official details can be found on the Play NSW Website.
